Over the years, I have assisted hundreds of clients around the world by providing them with professional immigration advice. I am extremely privileged to have the opportunity to positively impact on each of my client’s lives, by assisting them and their families migrate to Australia for a better future.
With eyes full of hope, I arrived as a seventeen-year old in Australia as an international student in 1998. I studied Diploma in Hospitality Management at Blue Mountains Hotel School, Leura and then went on to complete my business degree, jointly conferred by Cornell University and RMIT.
In 2001, I (somehow) made it on the Dean’s list a few times and was selected to do my major at Cornell University, New York, USA. Then 9/11 happened, and my round-the-world trip didn’t. However, I then had the opportunity to complete my major in Marketing & International Finance at RMIT.
Post my graduation in 2002, I was offered a position and was sponsored by my employer in Sydney. By now, I had fallen in love with Australia and chose to call it home.
I then worked in various management roles in luxury hotels and in recruitment in Australia & Asia. My passion for people further lead me to the migration law industry. In 2013, realising the talent and skill shortage in Australia, I founded Hotspot People, a boutique recruitment firm. And after completing the graduate Migration Law program at Australian National University, Canberra and becoming a Registered Migration Agent MARN: 1575846, I founded Immigration Hotspot, a full-service migration firm based in Melbourne.
I live in Melbourne with my partner and our two little cheeky monkeys. In my own time I love to serve in helping spread Master Paramhansa Yogananda’s (Autobiography of a Yogi) teachings and spending time in nature gardening or playing the djembe.
We are strong believers in sustainability and in our community. Our efforts towards making Immigration Hotspot sustainable are being realized by being responsible in everything we do and never forgetting that even the smallest things can make a great difference – from consuming less paper, by printing both sides and by using multi-purpose products.
We aim to create a sustainable marketing strategy by developing effective marketing campaigns, exploring eco-friendly possibilities and using responsible resources and practices for our marketing campaigns. We partner with offset printers who are environmentally-certified and carbon neutral in every aspect of their print process, which includes the use of 100% post-consumer waste recycled paper and vegetable inks, which do not produce any toxic sludge.
At our office, we reduce waste, reuse and recycle materials as much as we can. We continuously try to reduce our energy consumption by using smart devices as much as possible. We are constantly looking at ways of improving our impact to the environment and community right down to our Fairtrade chai. We use recycled paper and we recycle every sheet to minimize paper waste. All our business proposals, reports and invoices are delivered online via email, and save as much soft copies of documents as possible to reduce the overall print burden of each client assignment.
