Victoria’s 2024-25 Skilled Visa Program Closing on 29 April 2025 for New Registrations
Victoria’s state-nominated skilled visa program for 2024-25 is set to close to new Registrations of Interest (ROI) at 4:00 PM AEST on Tuesday, 29 April 2025.
This program year, the Australian Government allocated Victoria 5,000 skilled visa places — with 3,000 places for the Subclass 190 Skilled Nominated visa and 2,000 places for the Subclass 491 Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) visa.

Due to overwhelming demand, Victoria has received far more ROIs than the number of available places, reflecting the strong interest from skilled professionals looking to make Victoria their home.
The Victorian Government has confirmed that it will continue assessing the ROIs already submitted to allocate any remaining nomination places for the 2024-25 program year.
What does this mean for applicants?
- If you have not yet submitted an ROI, you must act fast before the deadline on 29 April 2025.
- If you have already submitted your ROI, your application will still be assessed for any remaining spots.
Given the limited places and the high level of interest, it’s critical for prospective applicants to ensure their documents and eligibility meet the requirements.
Stay tuned for further updates as the program year progresses.
